Yes. We provide completely free, no-obligation site assessments and itemized quotes across the wider Auckland region. We measure the moisture, check the sub-floor, and give you an exact price with no hidden surprises.
Yes. For our machines to access the entire floor space, all furniture, rugs, and loose items must be removed from the rooms being sanded prior to our arrival.
By New Zealand law, Endless Flooring cannot disconnect, remove, or replace any gas appliances, including gas stoves. For other appliances like fridges or dishwashers, we ask that you remove them prior to our arrival. If you choose to leave them in place, our staff will work as close to the appliances as possible, but we cannot accept responsibility for minor markings.
We require a standard deposit to secure your booking date, with the remaining balance due upon completion and your final inspection of the floor.
For a standard re-sand and polyurethane job, we recommend allowing 3 to 4 days. This allows adequate time for mandatory drying between coats. If custom staining, blonding, or structural repairs are required, extra time will be needed.
Our process is 90% dust-free. While all our machines are fitted with industrial HEPA vacuum systems, sanding is an industrial process. A minimal amount of airborne dust is still produced, but it is vastly superior to standard canvas-bag sanders.
Because we must sand and apply polyurethane right up against the edges to ensure a seamless finish, you may find minor scuff marks or traces of polyurethane along the bottom edge of your skirting boards. This is a standard part of the floor finishing process.
Yes, provided the real wood veneer top layer is thick enough (usually at least 3mm to 4mm). We will measure the wear layer during your free site assessment to confirm if it can be safely sanded.
Please read the PDF which outlines the reasonable expectations from the processes involved.

Sanding and coating is an industrial process, and we strongly recommend that you find alternative accommodation during the floor sanding and polyurethaning process as we need to mitigate risk.
If you choose a moisture-cured (solvent-based) polyurethane, we strongly recommend you stay elsewhere. The solvent produces strong fumes during application and curing. If you choose a water-based polyurethane, the fumes are minimal, and you may stay in the house, provided you stay completely out of the active work areas.
If you choose to stay in the house, then for your safety, please do not enter the work area.
This process also produces noise between 85 and 97 decibels. Therefore, we wear earmuffs and dust masks. If you choose to wear suitable industrial-grade earmuffs and a dust mask, then you may stay in the house.
Generally, the smell dissipates within 3 to 4 days after the final coat, depending on house ventilation and weather conditions. Leaving windows and doors open will speed up this process.
We highly recommend taking pets with you while work is being completed. Once the floor is finished, you should wait at least 5 days (ideally 3 weeks for full curing) before allowing dogs back on the floor. Please note: Endless Flooring cannot accept liability for any scratches caused by pets' claws after the finishing process.
You can walk on the floors (in socks or bare feet only) 24 hours after the final coat is applied. We recommend waiting 5 to 7 days before moving heavy furniture back in, as polyurethane takes time to fully harden and cure.

Avoid harsh supermarket chemicals. We recommend using dedicated timber floor cleaners, such as the Pallmann Clean and Go Kit or Pallmann Magic Oil Care for oiled floors, using a slightly damp (never soaking wet) microfiber mop.
